What TradeRecall records

One plugin, turned on once in cTrader › Settings › Plugins. It only reads; TradeRecall puts it into cTrader for you.

  • Every deal is recorded as it happens, with the broker's own deal number, commission and swap, and the profit as cTrader booked it, in your account's currency.
  • Stops, targets and every move of them are recorded with the trade.
  • A picture of the chart is taken at every deal and at every order placed, moved or cancelled, while a chart of that symbol is in view.
  • Forex pairs and CFDs. An account is recorded as live from its first trade until you mark it as a simulation account.
  • Trades closed while cTrader was closed are read from its history the next time it runs (the last seven days), each once.
  • Works with cTrader 5.10 or newer, on Windows.
  • Say why mid-trade: ⌥⌘J on a Mac or Win+Shift+J on Windows starts and stops a voice note, also with your platform in front. The note goes into the trade you are in, at the moment you said it. Voice trading journal

How you set it up

  1. In TradeRecall, open Settings › Platforms › cTrader and press Put the plugin into cTrader.
  2. In cTrader: Settings › Plugins, turn TradeRecall on, and allow its full access when cTrader asks. The plugin only reads; it never trades.
  3. Keep a chart of the symbol you trade open and visible: cTrader gives a picture only of a chart that is visible, and the plugin draws your confirmed plan on it.
  4. Every account is recorded as live from its first trade. For a demo or simulation account, switch on Simulation account in Settings › Accounts; its trades already recorded move with it.

Older trades: Trades › Import reads cTrader's Statement, as HTML or Excel.

The setup guide shows the steps for each platform.

On a Mac

cTrader runs in Windows under Parallels on a Mac, and TradeRecall on the Mac puts its plugin into it. In Parallels, the plugin runs only with the full access you allow once in cTrader.
