Sierra Chart and NinjaTrader, the same journal

TradeRecall records your trades from either platform in the same way, into the same journal. Use one of them, or both.

Sierra Chart

One study in a chart. TradeRecall listens to Sierra Chart's own DTC server.

  • Every execution on every account Sierra Chart reports is recorded as it happens, from every Sierra Chart installation on the computer.
  • Stops, targets and every move of them are recorded with the trade.
  • A picture of the chart you trade on is taken at every entry and exit.
  • Simulation and live accounts are kept apart.
  • Fills made while TradeRecall was not listening are fetched from Sierra Chart the next time it connects, once a chart with the study is running for that symbol.
  • Works with Sierra Chart 2941 or newer, on Windows.

NinjaTrader

One add-on, imported once. TradeRecall listens to NinjaTrader's own account events.

  • Every execution on every account NinjaTrader shows is recorded as it happens, on a Rithmic or Tradovate connection too.
  • Stops, targets and every move of them are recorded with the trade.
  • A picture of the chart is taken at every fill, on each chart that carries the TradeRecall indicator.
  • Simulation and live accounts are kept apart.
  • NinjaTrader cannot give past executions back, so only what happens while NinjaTrader is open is recorded.
  • Works with NinjaTrader 8, on Windows.

On a Mac

Sierra Chart and NinjaTrader run on Windows. On a Mac they run in Windows under Parallels, and TradeRecall sets up the connection into it.
