What NinjaTrader keeps by itself

From the NinjaTrader 8 Help Guide. Trade Performance is opened from the Control Center, under New.

  • performance reports on your trade history for the accounts, instruments and dates you choose, in currency, percent, points, pips or ticks;
  • displays for Summary, Analysis, Executions, Trades, Orders and a Journal;
  • per trade: entry and exit price and time, profit, commission and fees, MAE and MFE;
  • analysis by day, week, month, hour of day or day of week, with graphs such as cumulative net profit and maximum drawdown;
  • a temporary one-minute chart at the place of an execution or a trade;
  • journal entries you type, by date, or on an execution or a trade, in the Account Performance window.

What TradeRecall adds beside it

TradeRecall's add-on runs in NinjaTrader 8 on Windows, or on a Mac with Apple silicon in Windows under Parallels, and takes every execution on every account NinjaTrader shows, on a Rithmic or Tradovate connection too.

Every stop and target move

Your stop and target come with the trade, and each time you move one, the new price and the time are kept.

Your chart, at each step

A picture is taken at every fill and every order placed, moved or cancelled, on each chart that carries the TradeRecall indicator.

Your reason, said live

Press Win+Shift+J while NinjaTrader is in front, say why you are in; the note goes into that trade.

Free, and it stays free

  • enter trades and notes by hand, or import NinjaTrader's executions from a file;
  • standard reports, per setup and per mistake, export and backup;
  • link your notes to trades by hand;
  • attach your own chart pictures to any note and to the day's review;
  • the full version for your first 30 days, no card; an email address for the key.

One journal for all your platforms

  • NinjaTrader beside Sierra Chart, Quantower, MetaTrader and cTrader, each account kept apart;
  • simulation and live never mixed;
  • trailing drawdown counted tick by tick by the rule you set, beside the balance NinjaTrader reports.

Does NinjaTrader have a trade journal?

Yes: the Journal display of the Account Performance window keeps entries you type, by date or on an execution or a trade, and Trade Performance gives the statistics. A trading journal such as TradeRecall adds what happens during the trade: your stop and target moves, pictures of your chart and what you say. NinjaTrader trading journal

Questions

Does TradeRecall change anything in NinjaTrader?

It adds one add-on, imported once, and an indicator you put on the charts you want pictures of. Trade Performance stays as it is.

Does TradeRecall need my NinjaTrader or broker password?

No. The add-on works inside NinjaTrader, so TradeRecall never asks for your broker login.

Is TradeRecall a subscription?

No. You buy it once for $300 and it is yours for good. Or you pay $33 a month, and after the 12th payment it is yours for good. If you stop the monthly payments before that, nothing is lost: the free journal keeps everything you recorded, and only the automatic features stop.
