TraderSync alternative for futures traders: TradeRecall vs TraderSync

TraderSync is a web journal that syncs the brokers it supports and takes a file from the rest, Sierra Chart and Quantower among them. TradeRecall records those platforms while you trade, on your own computer.

Free, no card. Plus a bonus: the full version for your first 30 days.

Free, and it stays free

  • enter trades and notes by hand, or import them from your platform's files;
  • standard reports, export and backup;
  • link your notes to trades by hand;
  • attach your own chart pictures to any note and to the day's review;
  • the full version for your first 30 days, no card; an email address for the key.

TradeRecall fits you if

  • you trade futures on Sierra Chart, NinjaTrader or Quantower, or forex and CFDs on MetaTrader or cTrader, and want each fill in your journal the moment it happens;
  • you want to see later where your stop was and every time you moved it;
  • you trade prop firm accounts and want the trailing drawdown counted tick by tick, by the rule of your account;
  • you would rather say your reason out loud mid-trade than type it after the close;
  • you want your journal on your computer, with no broker password handed over.

Is there a free alternative to TraderSync?

Yes, for futures, forex and CFDs. TraderSync gives seven days, then a paid plan. TradeRecall's journal does not end: you keep entering trades and notes by hand, importing your platform's files, reading the standard reports and exporting, for free. What you try for 30 days from your first trade is the automatic part. Free trading journal

Does TraderSync record when you move your stop?

In TraderSync you add the stop and target by hand, or set defaults that are added to every trade; a record of each move during the trade is not on their site. TradeRecall keeps every move, with its time and price, from Sierra Chart, NinjaTrader, Quantower, MetaTrader and cTrader. NinjaTrader trading journal

What only TradeRecall keeps

A file uploaded after the close tells you what was filled. It does not tell you what you were thinking, or where your stop was a minute before.

Your reason, on time

One key combination, and what you say lands in the open trade, timed to the second you said it.

The stop you moved

A stop dragged closer, a target pulled in early: each change sits in the trade with its price.

Pictures, not uploads

Your own chart, as it looked at every fill and every stop or target move, with nothing to attach.

Questions

Is TradeRecall a subscription?

No. You buy it once for $300 and it is yours for good. Or you pay $33 a month, and after the 12th payment it is yours for good. If you stop the monthly payments before that, nothing is lost: the free journal keeps everything you recorded, and only the automatic features stop.

Does TradeRecall need my broker password?

No. It records from inside Sierra Chart, NinjaTrader, Quantower, MetaTrader and cTrader, so it never asks for your broker login.

What we say about TraderSync comes from tradersync.com, its pricing page, its list of supported brokers and its help center, checked on 27 October 2026. If something there has changed, tell us at support at traderecall.app and we will fix this page.
