TradeRecall vs TradesViz: a TradesViz alternative for futures traders

TradesViz and TradeRecall both take your fills from Sierra Chart and NinjaTrader while you trade. The difference is what else comes with the fill, and where your journal is kept: on TradesViz's servers in the USA, or on your computer.

  • you would rather keep your trades and your words on your own computer than send them to a cloud service.

Which one records stop moves from Sierra Chart?

TradeRecall does: each time you move a stop or target in Sierra Chart, the new price and the time are added to the trade. TradesViz's Sierra Chart study sends your executions, and its trade page holds one stop and one target that you enter. Sierra Chart trading journal

What only TradeRecall keeps

An execution says what you did. What you meant to do is in the stop you set, the moves you made, and what you said while it happened.

Words from the trade

Spoken while the position is open, turned into text on your own computer, never typed afterwards.

The whole stop history

The first stop, each move, and the one that took you out, all in the trade.

Your chart, your drawings

The picture is of the chart you trade on, as it looked at that moment, not one redrawn later.

Questions

Can I bring the trades I already have?

Yes, from your platform: TradeRecall imports the files Sierra Chart, NinjaTrader and Quantower export, so earlier trades come in from the platform where you made them.

Does TradeRecall send my trades to anyone?

No. Reading your voice notes happens on your computer and nothing from your journal goes to anyone else's servers. Reading what you say needs 24 GB of memory or more; with less, your voice is only turned into text.

Does TradeRecall work on a Mac?

Yes, on a Mac with Apple silicon. Sierra Chart and NinjaTrader run in Windows under Parallels on the Mac, and TradeRecall sets up the connection to them.

What we say about TradesViz comes from tradesviz.com, its pricing page, its FAQ, its privacy policy and its import guides, checked on 27 October 2026. If something there has changed, tell us at support at traderecall.app and we will fix this page.

TradeRecall is a trading journal for futures, forex and CFD traders that records every fill live from Sierra Chart, NinjaTrader, Quantower, MetaTrader and cTrader, puts what you say during a trade on that trade, and keeps everything on your computer.
